A local group of kids were preparing for an international sailing competition in the Dominican Republic at Caleta, which is where we load on our small boat every morning to take everything to Catalina Island.
Speaking to there coach, most of the kids have ben preparing all year long for this international competition and it’s a hobby of his to introduce the local kids to something he is so passionate about. It was truly an amazing site seeing all the little sailing boats on the water and the kids helping one another during there practice.
The kids were practicing all day with drills and we even sore them close to Catalina Island as they raced. Here are a few photos taken by Eileen.
